Evaluations Completed for two federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers

Aug 30 2015

The YMCA of Greater Syracuse and the Center for Community Alternatives offer high-quality programs to students in high poverty, low performing schools in the Syracuse City School District using federal 21st CCLC funds. Among other activities, A&O observes workshops and classes, conducts student surveys, interviews staff and analyses data provided by the school district to assess the fidelity of implementation and the achievement of outcomes for these programs. With the start of the new school year, A&O will work with the staffs of each organization to update their program Logic Models – the resources, activities, intended outcomes and impact – that define the programs for 2015-2016. “We strive to create evaluation reports that are used to refine future programming based on the assessment of past performance,” says Cynthia O’Connor.
